HT Hloo Tech

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 August 2026

Hloo Tech ("we", "us") builds and operates WhatsApp automation for small businesses. This policy explains what information we collect when you message one of our WhatsApp numbers or use our services, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Short version: we only keep what is needed to answer your message and pass your enquiry to the business you contacted. We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and you can ask us to delete it at any time by messaging DELETE or emailing us.

1. Who we are

Hloo Tech is operated from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. For any privacy question you can reach us at event@hloo.in. We are the data controller for information collected through our own WhatsApp numbers and websites. When we run a WhatsApp assistant on behalf of a client business, that business is the controller and we act as its service provider.

2. What we collect

InformationWhere it comes fromWhy we need it
Your WhatsApp phone numberSent to us by WhatsApp when you message usTo reply to you and to pass your enquiry to the business
Your WhatsApp profile nameSent to us by WhatsAppTo address you correctly
The content of your messagesYou, when you type or tap a menu optionTo understand your request and answer it
Booking details you provideYou, e.g. name, service needed, preferred timeTo create and confirm your appointment
Technical logsAutomatically, e.g. timestamps and error messagesTo keep the service working and fix faults

We do not ask for and do not want payment card numbers, bank details, government identification numbers, passwords, or health information. Please do not send these to us over WhatsApp. If you send such information anyway, we delete it as soon as we notice it.

3. How we use it

We do not use your messages to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

4. Automated replies

Most replies you receive are generated automatically by software, not typed by a person. The automation follows fixed rules; it does not make decisions that have legal or financial consequences for you. You can always ask to speak to a human — type menu and choose the human option, or simply write "human".

5. How long we keep it

Where we act for a client business, that business may keep its own copy of your enquiry under its own policy.

6. Who we share it with

We share the minimum necessary with:

We may also disclose information if we are legally required to do so, or to protect the rights and safety of people using our service. We do not share information with advertisers or data brokers.

7. Where your data is stored

Our servers are provided by Hostinger and your information may be stored or processed outside your country of residence, including in India, the European Union, or the United States. Wherever it is held, this policy continues to apply.

8. Security

Messages travel over encrypted connections (HTTPS and WhatsApp's own transport). Access to stored conversations is limited to the people who need it to run the service. No system is perfectly secure, so please avoid sending sensitive personal information over WhatsApp.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights under laws such as PIPEDA (Canada), the GDPR (Europe), or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act. We honour these requests regardless of where you are. If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to your local data protection authority — in Canada, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

10. Children

Our services are meant for people aged 18 and over and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has messaged us, contact us and we will delete the record.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information we will update this page and change the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced on this page before they take effect.
